My other photographs. | In July of 2006, in a company of friends, I found myself trekking across Adygheya (an autonomy republic in Russian Federation). During these short two weeks we tried to hike around as much as possible sites of attraction, like waterfalls, the gorge of Guam, Laganaki ridge, vicinities of mountain Fisht. Although we had to exlude a lot of interesting sites, still we have returned full of bright impressions. There are also a lot of photographs, some of them are in the following chapters. |
Waterfalls were among the main aimes of our trip. Actually, during the first days, we have seen nothing except for rivers and waterfalls. Well, neglecting such "trifles" as small caves, bear tracks, thickets of fern, and mushrooms. :) |

After several days spent in forests and canyons, how pleasant it was to appear above the forests, in alpine meadows zone, from where we could finally see the mountains we were trekking through! There were mushrooming grass, clouds overpassing the ridges, snowfields, and, the most important, a wide expanse! |

Pseno-Dagh lake is located near the east foothills of Pshekho-Soo mountain. From the opposite side, a spur of mountain Oshten comes to the lake. To the south from the lake, a pass between the two mountains leads in direction of mountain Fisht. Fisht, Oshten, and Psheho-Soo are the highest peaks in this part of the Caucasus. In summer, the foots of mountains and valleys between them are covered with bright juicy vegetation, with occasional snowfields between them. |

The gorge of Guam is on river Koorjips between the vilages Mezmay and Guamka. It is a rather deep and narrow chasm, along which rushes a violent stream. In the middle of the 20th century a railway was lead alog the stream for wood transportation. Since about 1970-ies the road is not in use and preserved only in short pieces, one of them being in the gorge. Now, along with the gorge, it is one of the local points of interest. |

In Adygheya, not only the wide vistas are beatiful, but also some smaller things that can be found below one's feet, like flowers, ferns... |
|
In the day next to lastof our trip, we have walked most part of the daytime in fog. Everything around us had become more fairy. Mountains, trees, horses... they were appearing from the fog and then dissappearing again, in a quite mysterious way. |
